Babloo Prithviraj, is an Indian film and television actor concentrating in Tamil and Telugu films. He started his career in Malayalam language films in late 80's. Later he shifted his base to Chennai. Now he is a busy Tamil television actor and show anchor. He played a leading role in the 1992 movie Vaaname Ellai and negative roles in movies like Aval Varuvala before moving over to teleserials. Prithviraj played important roles in the teleserials Ramani Vs Ramani and Marmadesam directed by Naga. He also played a major role in the Tamil blockbuster Payanam based on a hijack incident directed by Radha Mohan and as a gangster in the film Vaaranam Aayiram starring Suriya and Sameera Reddy with Gautham Menon

Airport incident

In November 2006, Prithviraj got into a heated argument with officials at Bangalore Airport when they prevented his 11-year old autistic son Ahed from boarding an aeroplane reasoning that he was "mentally ill".[1] Prithviraj filmed the whole incident on a movie camera and mailed it to the Indian news channel CNN-IBN.[1]
